Choose one of the characters from Romeo and Juliet and write a paragraph in which you explain who the character is and his or her role in the story. Then answer the following question.

To what extent do you see this person as having some responsibility for the tragedy that occurs? Justify your view by referring specifically to the character's part in the tragedy.

Romeo is a 16 year old boy in the Montague family. He is in love with a girl called Rosalyn but she doesn't love him back and wants nothing to do with him. His friend and cousin force him to attend a party held by the Capulet family, his rivalries. There he meets Juliet and instantly falls in love. Romeo and Juliet have trouble staying together because of their families differences and because Juliet is already betrothed to a man she doesn't want to marry, but their love is stronger than any rivalry of their families. Their love affair leads to two suicides because one couldn't live without the other. It's a tragic love story.

Romeo i tink didn't contribute a lot in the suicides at the end of the story. I think the major people that had a large contribution were the parents of both Romeo and Juliet because of the rivalries between their families and if that just blew over then the two of them wouldn't of felt like they had to hide their love and could express it. Another person who i feel made a massive impact was the priest because he was the one to give Juliet the sleeping potion which lead to everyone believe she was dead and lead to Romeo's death.
